Greg's 78rpm Records Gramophone & Phonograph
Австралия
Добавлен 11 сен 2006
A place where I share my various gramophones, record players, and music played on them. I upload a variety of music, from the early 1900s, to the early 1970s. I do not process audio, and video processed only sometimes. I live in Australia.

Is this song about burning down his girlfriend's home? Because it kinda gives that vibe.
Gorgeous gramophone
Great Upload This Bird Has Flown To This Day
🐦 😊
Nat Shilkret and the Victor Orchestra, under an alias {they're as "Hawaiian" as Yankee Bean Soup 😏}. Recorded on February 24, 1930. Vocal Refrain by Frank Luther and Carson Robison (whistling). Origially released on {American} Victor 22339.
Thankyou Barry!
You're welcome!
Excellent 😊😊
🦄 🦄 🦄
One of favs. How are you getting away with these uploads??? 😂😂
About 3 in 10 are not getting a complete block. It's almost a waste of time, but lucky dips are fun.
Lovely jubbly
You hit a pet peeve of mine, never liked that saying for some reason. I imagine it's what Winnie spread on her sandwiches to make her play so irritatingly Plinky. I am nutz though 😆
I love the Hilo Hawaiian Orchestra, I have a couple of discs of theirs too. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome
Happy little tune perfect for the summer
🥶 here, and I have the Flu!
That is right good 😊😁😎👍🤗
Especially on Diamond Disk
James Last. Popular in Charity, Thrift and Op shops. His LPs were class.
There's a ton of good music in charity shops that nobody wants.
Record released in 1930.
Thanks mate
I never heard this number before Greg !!!!! This is a great album !!!! I wish you a nice evening !!!! And overhere is it 29 degrees Celcius !!!!! Greetings from Henk !!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩☺🤗🤠

What a beautiful waltz Greg !!!! I love it !!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩☺🤗🤠
Cheers Henkie!

Thanks!..how is the whistling done? I mean-is it an instrument like piccolo or plain whistler?
I am guessing with a childs clay pipe bubble whistle of the day, or another novelty instrument.
Beautiful music 🎶🎵🎶🎸🎸🎸✌️💯
😎
That opening note I thought we were about to Jump Around
😆
😊Smooth
Expected him to start yodelling
Thank you for playing The Beatles ! And welcome in this new musical week !!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩☺🤗🤠

Released in the U.S.as a "45" single {Capitol 5371} in February 1965 (#1 hit), and the album "Beatles VI" {Capitol T/ST-2358} that June.
Cheers Barry!
Amazing Record It Was The 1942 Warner Bros Movie This Is The Army
Thankyou
What a beautiful record Greg !!!!! My compliments !!!!! And I like the song !!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩☺🤗🤠
Thankyou Henkie
This is a great piece with a really unfortunate name. i would guess that it would have to be an ex-US band that issued a public recording of this in 1932 as the corporate sensitivity level in the US by that date had graduated beyond characterizations like this. The title wasn't too cool in 1899 either but the rendition by Sousa's band on Columbia in 1902 is just stratospherically good.
At first I thought it was Doris Day. Not a bad novelty song.
Joe Loss best recordings are on Regal Zonophone. I had many of his on HMV and gave them to someone as I wasn't playing them. I kept the Regal ones as I play those.
Hard to part with Regals that you like
The guitar riff on the intro and conclusion is just magic. Their best albums were Rubber Soul and Revolver for me.
Never heard of them buth they are great !!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩☺🤗🤠
I hadn't either Henkie!

Super Amazing Lp Of Barber Shop Ballads
I was happy to find it, the genre is so charming.
Billy Williams on tip top form! Issued by Regal in 1920, but originally from a Beka master of mid 1914. Billy Williams still sold well after his demise in 1915.
Thankyou Paul. He had star power!
